M1 Closures, Orlando Shootings & Leicester's Jewry Wall

The southbound carriageways of the M1 at junction 23 remains closed this morning following concerns for a man on a bridge. We follow the story throughout the morning and watch over how it develops.

The FBI says the gunman who carried out the worst mass shooting in recent US history had been investigated twice for possible terrorism links - but agents concluded he wasn't a threat, before killing at least fifty people in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. We speak to Dennis Bradley from the Leicester LGBT Centre.

Now, if you've travelled around our side of Leicester city centre, you've probably seen all the cones and metal railings surrounding the famous Jewry Wall. The famous site was of course at the heart of Roman Leicester 2000 years ago. It's now coming back to the forefront, through a major project by Leicester City Council - which bought the area a little while back.
