Direct from the Severn Valley comes Mark Leedham with his virtuosic guitar, original songwriting and deep toned, soulful vocals; think John Martyn meets Ben Harper and Ben Howard, with Zeppelin-infected grooves.

Mark has had a diverse career as a session guitarist in London, including a 主播大秀 Maida Vale session with Pyrelli, supporting Mika on tour in the UK and Europe, played guitar with Gabby Young and Other Animals performing alongside The Undertones, The Levellers, Chumbawamba and Badly Drawn Boy.

Locally, and more recently, he's gigged and recorded with Becky Hill.

Right now, Mark is playing in a power trio taking the festival circuit by storm.

"Gorgeous songwriting from an artist who just keeps getting better and better" - Andrew Marston.

Jungle music

Jungle music

A Hereford musician, who relocated to Sydney nearly two years ago, is releasing a new album after spending nearly five months in the Australian jungle.

Jake Of Diamonds, who had national success on Radio 1 after we passed on his music, is still relatively unknown in his new country - despite running a music venue for several months!

Having originally relocated because of love, Jake is now finding his own way in life.

主播大秀 Introducing at Nozstock: The Hidden Valley

主播大秀 Introducing at Nozstock: The Hidden Valley

It's been described as the Midlands' version of Glastonbury and "the best festival of its size in the UK" - Nozstock takes place on a farm near Bromyard.

5,000 people turn up, every year, for three days of music, comedy and theatre, which started off as a family barbecue back in 1998.

This month, hear our 主播大秀 Introducing stage takeover as we headed up to Rowden Paddocks just off the B4214.

Monetisation

Monetisation

A Worcestershire band are trying out a new way of making money tonight - instead of selling tickets to come in, they'll be charging an exit fee!

And with no set price, they're asking people to pay what they thought the entertainment was worth.

Oliver Carpenter of the band Mumbo-Jumbo says, up until now, the only way of making money at gigs has been by selling CDs.

Toyah tour

Toyah tour

She's had eight Top 40 singles, released more than 20 albums, written two books, appeared in over forty stage plays and ten feature films, and voiced and presented numerous television programmes and now Pershore's Toyah Willcox is set to relive the 80s in a brand new show.

The 80s invasion, which features Paul Young, Martika, Toyah and China Crisis, will tour all over the UK, including a stop at the Malvern Theatres.

So, tonight, we talk pop, punk, passion and fashion.

Live in Hyde Park

Live in Hyde Park

British singer-songwriter Andreya Triana grew up in London, but it was a move away from friends and her old life to Worcester at the age of 14 that cemented her relationship with music, as the teenage Triana immersed herself in the work of Lauryn Hill, Bill Withers and the Jackson 5.

Since those days, she has made two albums of her own, sung on top 10 single 'Everything You Never Had (We Had It All)' and been nominated for a MOBO award.

In 2009 she performed on the 主播大秀 Introducing stage at Glastonbury, returning to play again at the festival in 2015.

The second half of 2016 will bring new music, more live appearances and - of course - a performance at Radio 2's Festival in a Day.

主播大秀 Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival

主播大秀 Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival
主播大秀 Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our area.

Our next recording session takes place at the听, as part of this year's听, on Sunday 18 September to record several acts who we've been playing on 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester recently.

We'll bring the bands - all we need now is the fans!

None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.

It's free to get in - but you must be prepared to make lots of noise for local music!

Doors open at 6pm, but you're more than welcome to turn up any time until 10pm.
