For the first time in years Leicestershire Police are recruiting officers.

In recent times budgets constraints have limited what the Force can do in terms of bringing in new faces. But today registration opens to find an extra 80 new officers. Add that to the 40 its already recruited internally this summer, it will take the total new officers in Leicestershire to well over a hundred. A few weeks ago the Chief Constable Simon Cole told this programme about the qualities he'd like to see applicants with.... Compassion, innovation, sense of humour, common sense and a sense of service.
