We asked you to help choose a song for Northamptonshire, and on Sunday 23rd October we were delighted to announce the winner: Andy Johnson & 2 Of A Kind (2OAK) - The Middle of It All.

2OAK are made up of Andy Johnson and Ant Ravenwood, and were formed in 1989. The pair were in the same year at school but didn't become friends until 6 years after leaving. They have recorded seven albums and are currently working on their eighth.

The song also features Lara Selmassi on vocals and lyrics by Martin Reeves. On the song, Andy and Ant say, "the lyrics were inspired by the location of the town, being in 'The Middle Of It All', and the beauty of the countryside around. We are never far from stunning scenery in the county whichever way you roam. It's also about Northampton proudly being our home and whenever we go away we always look forward to returning home, hence the lines "From the hills both low and high, we'll never ever wave goodbye". "
