A dog owner from Essex has created 鈥渕ilitary grade鈥� body armour that small dogs can wear to protect them from being mauled by bigger breeds.

Bradley Davis and his wife Rachel鈥檚 鈥渄oggy armour鈥� is made out of strong, tightly woven fabric and has a neck guard to protect against bites. The couple鈥檚 pug-beagle cross, Tilly, has been modelling the range for them.

鈥淚nside the jacket is military grade material,鈥� Bradley said. 鈥淭o test it out, I put some nails in a block of wood and drove a car over it 鈥� the nails didn鈥檛 penetrate the jacket at all,鈥� he added.

Bradley created the padded suit after hearing about The Only Way is Essex鈥檚 Bobby Norris鈥� pet Beau who was killed after being bitten by a larger dog.
