Gobi the dog is 'loving every minute' of the journey

An ultra runner who adopted the stray who accompanied him on a Chinese desert race says his new pet is, "loving every minute of their journey together", as he works to get her back to the UK.

Dion Leonard met Gobi in the summer when she started to follow him - and totally won over his heart.

He's now in Bejing while she goes through the quarantine process but he says he's "really keen" to get home.

Staying in China with Gobi means Dion hasn't seen his wife Lucja for months.

But as he told 5 live, she's been to visit and although he was "expecting a bit more jealously", Lucja won Gobi's affections and they "had a really good time".
