The small village of Chipping Cleghorn; the late 1940s. Among the small ads of the local paper appears an unobtrusive advert announcing the time and place of a forthcoming murder.
It's the late 1940s. Among the small ads of Chipping Cleghom's local paper there appears an advertisement announcing the time and place of a forthcoming murder. The inhabitants of the village assume it's just a harmless piece of fun. Miss Marple, on a visit at the vicarage, instinctively knows it is not and that if one murder occurs then others will follow. As nothing makes sense for Inspector Craddock, he is forced to enlist her help.
