Philip Thomas Barber writes haunting, alternative folk songs about depression, flawed relationships and the games people play.

He's been compared to Ben Howard and Passenger, although his influences include Arcade Fire, Kings Of Leon, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Otis Redding, Rolling Stones and Joe Cocker.

He's recently moved from Leominster to Malvern and he's only recently put together Saint Alto.

"One of the most beautifully intricate sounds around with heartfelt lyrics delivered with a sea of passion" - Andrew Marston.

A brand new one-day festival is taking place at a secret location near Evesham next month, with Sam & The Womp headlining.

The event will showcase a diverse range of music with a variety of influences, from reggae to ska, African bass, electroswing, punk, funk and more.

Festival director Mista Trick is a DJ and producer who's performed at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Nozstock, Swingamajig and Shambala.

Organiser Amy Everard says: "Each year the festival will introduce a new creature - this year we celebrate the Owl, our guardian who will keep watch over us.

"We are really keen to get this festival out to the local community, as we really think this eclectic line up would be a great way to introduce new music styles."
