Robbie Savage talked to Andrew Flintoff and Matthew Syed about the jump in wages he went received when signing for Leicester City.

Savage said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 bizarre, one minute you鈥檙e borrowing off your mum for a new pair of jeans, then you鈥檙e on 拢4,000 a week.鈥�

Savage moved from Crewe where he earned 拢150 a week, and bought quite an unusual vehicle with his first pay cheque from the foxes.

鈥淚 had a little Fiesta 鈥� I crashed it and thought, 鈥渨hat can I buy?鈥� So I bought a pink Porsche. But it blew up the same night I bought it.鈥�
