April Shipton is a 24-year-old Christian singer/songwriter from Ross-on-Wye.

She started taking singing seriously last year when she released three singles and launched a campaign against modern day slavery, where she highlighted that the average age of a sex traffic victim in England is 13.

The inspiration for her music came as a teenager when she experienced some incredible healing from anorexia and depression and is influenced by The Black Keys and Taylor Swift.听

鈥淎 rising star on the local scene with inspiring songs from somebody who just wants to help others鈥 - Andrew Marston.

The population of Somerset has grown by more than a third as thousands have descended on this year's Glastonbury Festival.

At least 200,000 people, including punters and staff, are at Worthy Farm in Pilton, adding to the whole county's usual population of 545,390.

Last year, Leominster's AKA George delivered the set of the weekend on the 主播大秀 Introducing stage and 主播大秀 6 Music's Tom Robinson was there to witness it. We'll hear from Tom on this week's show.

Tonnes of the musicians听were as a direct result of appearing here on 主播大秀 Introducing.

MappFest

MappFest

The most quirky music festival on our doorstep is organised by one man from Malvern, who's been a fixture on the local scene for the best part of the last thirty years or more - and has also provided backing vocals for bands like Ultravox.

Andy Mapp's Mappfest returned, last weekend, to Malvern Link Common in aid of Acorns Hospice and entertainment was provided by both local and established talent.

Eastnor Castle

Eastnor Castle

Last weekend saw Sir Cliff, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe come to Eastnor Castle near Ledbury.

We were there, chatting to the Cliff听fans,听 and got top听singing tips from Alfie Boe.

You can also hear our chat with the organisers of next weekend's El Dorado Festival, which sees Groove Armada, Jax Jones, Artful Dodger and the Sugarhill Gang take to centre stage.
