Will SNP use its new tax raising powers?

The Scottish Parliament has had control over income tax rates and bands since last year, but the SNP government has so far resisted calls from opposition parties to use them.

Transport minister Humza Yousaf said the Scottish government had spent "hundreds of millions of pounds of Scottish taxpayers' money mitigating disastrous economic policies" at Westminster.

He spoke to Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn about tax powers and austerity, and was later asked about Catalan independence, from the SNP conference in Glasgow.
