In this rare interview Clare Crane talks to founding punk Jordan

Jordan was one of the most important figures of the punk era, in fact it's hard to think about the overall style of punk without picturing one of her iconic looks.

She worked in Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood's Kings Road boutique, SEX, and her image really helped define the visual language of punk.

Aside from being present as some of the key concerts and moments in punk history, she appeared onstage with The Sex Pistols, starred in Derek Jarman's film 'Jubilee' and managed and sang with Adam and the Ants.

This weekend sees Manchester's Louder Than Words festival take place - it's described as the UK's biggest music based literature festival and Jordan will be 'In Conversation' at the Principal Hotel on Saturday at 6:15pm.

Jordan is still every inch the icon she was back in the punk hey day, here in this rare interview she talks to Clare Crane about the early days of punk and the question she always gets...
