How far we鈥檙e absorbed by a film can be monitored by pulse rate, brain activity, and so on. We may think we can feel cold or rain for example, but can we also sniff the roses, catch the whiff of gun smoke, and otherwise generally smell what鈥檚 going on onscreen too? Francine Stock meets perfume expert and blogger Dariush Alavi who believes we can smell a movie.
