Though Donald Trump may believe that he can take on China鈥檚 rising dominance in world trade, the country鈥檚 President Xi has insisted with some confidence that globalisation was irreversible. Only last month he strengthened his hold on power at the 19th Communist Party congress and the country鈥檚 intellectual dogma, so what does this new era hold for China's internal politics and for its relationship with the rest of the world?
