Activist and writer Ambalavaner Sivanandan remembered
Ambalavaner Sivanandan has passed away at the age of 94. He was Director Emeritus of the Institute of Race Relations, and editor of Race and Class. Born in Sri Lanka, from the 1960s onwards he was seen as one of the key activists, writers and thinkers in Britain in the race relations field. He was instrumental in supporting those experiencing racism and inequality. Liz Fekete is the current Director of the Institute for Race Relations and took over from Sivanandan. She talks about his importance as an activist in this interview with 主播大秀 presenter Ajmal Hussain.
