The first Briton

New DNA analysis suggests that the first modern Britons who lived around 10,000 years ago had dark skin, dark hair and blue eyes, and that they migrated from Africa to the Middle East before settling in Britain. The findings come from analysis of Britain's oldest skeleton 'Cheddar Man', who history books had previously portrayed as white. Dr Yoan Diekmann is from University College London, and works in Genetics, Evolution & Environment and was part of the UCL team involved in the analysis. 主播大秀 presenter Ajmal Hussain asks him whether the findings come as a surprise to him
