Long Interview: Alison Powell

The concept of 'ownership' as traditionally understood needs updating, according to this week's Long Interview subject: digital interconnectedness means tech companies to jealously guard access to the inner workings of their products, while reserving the right to impose updates on devices long after they've left the factory.

Gordon Brewer speaks to Dr Alison Powell, Assistant Professor at the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics about the issues that the 'internet of things' has thrown up.
