Mind Enterprises calls 主播大秀 Radio 6 Music HQ from Gran Canaria to share his selections.

The Italian DJ and producer draws on influences including 80s Italian disco/DJ outfits like Kano, while also taking in echoes of West Africa.

Tirone left his hometown of Turin in 2011, moving to East London for six years before again relocating, this time to Gran Canaria 鈥� of this huge change he says: 鈥淚 took a map and looked for the most laidback life and sunny place in Europe. Perhaps I鈥檓 overreacting to London鈥�. He also admits that he has never recognised himself in Italian culture, due to his obsession with creating sounds, which he didn鈥檛 feel had a place at home in Turin.

The first record he ever bought, and the one which kick-started his obsession with music, was 'Nevermind' aged 12, after growing up listening to the Beatles and his parents鈥� favourite Italian artists.He formed a post-punk band in his teens before moving to London. His music now often weaves in samples of traditional African music fused with post-punk guitars 鈥� inspired by artists such as Delta 5 and Gang of Four.
