Empyre perform intense, atmospheric rock, with a dark and introspective edge to their writing.

The quartet, who are based in both Bromsgrove and Northampton, take in influences such as Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Royal Blood and lay on a storming live show.

"Thunderous rock with one of the meatiest sounds in the UK right now. No stage is too big for these guys" - Andrew Marston.

Now in its fourth year, WooFest听 featured a continuous flow of live music throughout the day raising money for听St Richard's Hospice.

The game was partially split by the football, however there were lots of activities for both adults and children including a session run by the Worcester School of Rock and a flypast by a World War II Lancaster Bomber.

The event, which is organised by Luke Simons and his sister Ria, was organised in memory of their father John Simons, a local engineer, who was cared for by the hospice before he died in 2013, aged 66.

This was their eighth annual event, featuring tonnes of local bands.

This year they extended the festival to three days - so on the Sunday, we were there hosting a stage dedicated to Herefordshire and Worcestershire artists chosen from the听.

The event, run by a group of volunteers, is paid for by ticket sales alone.

Musicians' Masterclass

Musicians' Masterclass
It was the biggest new music business gathering to ever to be held in the UK, with more than 100 sessions and 250 speakers ensuring every aspect of the music business was covered.

Held across three days, Amplify offered exclusive access to the UK music industry鈥檚 biggest names through intimate talks, music masterclasses and recording workshops.

This week, we hear from听听and their manager Carl Hitchbourn; a band that gained a top 20 record and sold out the O2 Academy in Brixton within their first two years.

Monthly roadshows
If you run a venue or you鈥檙e a music promoter, then we want to hear from you!

Since the beginning of 2011, we've taken our 主播大秀 Introducing show out on-the-road to various areas across our patch.

Every month, we rock up at a different venue with a pile of microphones, cables and recording equipment along with several vans full of enthusiastic musicians!

As well as the bands being able to invite an audience, we also bring along a number of music industry professionals to comment on the live acts.

We tend to host our sessions on evenings/weekends is because it's normally a quiet time for venues - so effectively you get a free gig curated with the best bands (from the thousands who have submitted their music to us), full tech provided, plus听听- so effectively you just need to open your doors!
