Upton Festival Highlights: Status Quo
We catch up with Status Quo bassist John Edwards, who performed at the Upton Festival during the bank holiday weekend.

Edwards, who's also played with Judie Tzuke, Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac and Dexy's Midnight Runners, talks about how he accidentally ended up in one of Britain's biggest rock bands.

In this interview, he talks about his relationship with Rick Parfitt, who died in 2016.

Known for their hit singles My World, Let Your Heart Dance and Time For Action, The Secret Affair also graced the stages at this year's Upton Festival.

Formed at college in 1978, the band spent four years together before joining other groups - like Dexy's Midnight Runners.

This week, we continue our series with one of Hay-on-Wye's most prolific hit-makers.

Alan McGee was the founding father of Creation Records, responsible for signing bands such as Oasis, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine and The Libertines.

Alan was also behind a club night which saw appearances from The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, Kasabian and The Darkness.

He's just launched a brand new record label called Creation23.

Onboard The Craft is the sister of Sonic Rock Solstice, which is also held at the Stoke Prior Sports & Country club.

Other events to be held on the site include Beermageddon, Wizzafest and Breaking Bands.

The organisers describe it as "two days of outstanding sounds and amazing music".

主播大秀 Music Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival
It's been dubbed as Worcester's version of SXSW in Texas!

Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.

Each year the festival raises money for a chosen local charity. This year the Worcestershire Association of Carers will receive all the money dropped into buckets at the festival's venues across the weekend.

On Sunday, 16 September, we'll be showcasing听House of Wolvxs,听Bryn Teeling & The River Thieves, Flex, Stone Mountain Sinners and听Mitch Loveridge at Drummonds from 2pm.
