Live coverage: Worcester Music Festival

Live coverage: Worcester Music Festival
This annual festival was first staged in 2008 by Chris Bennion, who produces Worcestershire Sauce.听He set up a website called NotJustSauce - aiming to put Worcester on the map musically.

It's since been dubbed as Worcester's version of SXSW in Texas!

Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.

Each year the festival raises money for a chosen local charity. This year the Worcestershire Association of Carers will receive all the money dropped into buckets at the festival's venues across the weekend.

Alan McGee: Creation Records

Alan McGee: Creation Records
This week, we continue our series with one of Hay-on-Wye's most prolific hit-makers.

Alan McGee was the founding father of Creation Records, responsible for signing bands such as Oasis, Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine and The Libertines.

Alan was also behind a club night which saw appearances from The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, Kasabian and The Darkness.

He's just launched a brand new record label called Creation23.

Upton Festival Highlights: Go West

Upton Festival Highlights: Go West
They were named Best British Newcomer at the 1986 Brit Awards and went on to have three top 40 singles here in the UK; we catch up with pop duo Go West.

Best known for their hit singles We Close Our Eyes, Call Me and King of Wishful Thinking, the band appeared at this year's Upton Festival - and are about to take on a number of gigs on cruise liners.

Upton Festival Highlights: Korgis

Upton Festival Highlights: Korgis
Another one of the groups gracing the stages at the Upton Festival were The Korgis, known for their hit singles Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime and If I Had You.

Speaking exclusively to 主播大秀 Hereford & Worcester, singer/songwriter James Warren talks about writing songs every day and 20 years of gigging before achieving chart success.

Asked if it changed his life forever, he says: "We had the dream of making it work - and then, sort of overnight, it did.

"Unfortunately, it was a bad thing as well; there was a lot of stress involved trying to come up with something that would follow it. There were some strange vibes in the working relationship of the band - a magical time, but a lot more stressful than it used to be."

Record producer Mike Vernon

Record producer Mike Vernon
We catch up with legendary record producer Mike Vernon, who's behind some of the biggest groups in Britain.

Having started with Decca in 1963, Mike went on to produce David Bowie, Eric Clapton and Fleetwood Mac.

Since retiring, Mike's started touring with his own music and visited Worcester's Marr's Bar this week.
