Worcester Arts Workshop

Worcester Arts Workshop has officially reopened.
Ìý
The venue has a 40 year history of delivering live music, arts and crafts in the city.
Ìý
But it closed after losing Arts Council funding, last year.
Ìý
Following a hand-out from Worcester City Council, things are on the up for the Sansome Street complex - which has just published a full list of activities until the end of the year.
Ìý

Remix album

What do you get if you cross Ellisha Green with Lost Tiger, Dharma Bums with Rouen and Arcadia Roots with DJ Kideva?
Ìý
A charity remix album of course!
Ìý
The project has been put together at Serious Studios in Stourport and was officially launched at a gig, this week, where local bands covered other local bands!
Ìý

Worcester Christmas Lights

At Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing in Hereford & Worcester, we support the very best new music from across our region.
Ìý
Since 2005,Ìýwe've broadcast more than 1,000 sessions, helping to showcase some of our area's most talented musicians to a massive audience.
Ìý
We’ve handpicked some of our favourite acts to join us to switch on Worcester’s Christmas Lights!
Ìý
Not only is this a fantastic opportunity for the musicians we’ve selected (who didn’t even know they were being considered for this incredible gig!), but also a chance for Worcester to see the amazing talent we have right here on our doorstep. As always, we also hope this will also inspire other musicians to share their music with us.
Ìý
The event, this year, moves from the Guildhall to the newly-revamped Cathedral Square under the statue of Sir Edward Elgar. The recording and switch-on takes place on Thursday, 22 November with these festive sessions being broadcast throughout December.
