Sharon Kosobucka, AKA ENY, started writing electronic and pop in 2017 but waited a year and a half before releasing her music to the public.

Originally from Poland, ENY (an acronym for 'Everyone Needs Yahweh') moved to Hereford, with the Freedom Church last year, spreading the word of God through dance music.

She's now performed gigs in Germany, Poland and England - including Hereford's High Town.

Young Musician of the Year

The fifth Wyre Forest Young Musician of the Year competition took place, last weekend, at St George's Hall in Bewdley.

The annual competition, which is open to those between the ages of 12 and 17, gives musicians a springboard to perform at local festivals and gigs.

The winners of the categories were:

  • Best Solo Instrumentalist: Jack MacGonigle (piano) from Bewdley
  • Best Singer: Molly Hipkins from Kidderminster
  • Best Performer 14 and Under: Connie Ertas (vocals) from Bewdley
  • Joint Winner - Best Composition: Tom Southam from Stourport
  • Joint Winner - Best Composition:听Izzy O鈥橠owd from Bewdley
  • Best Group Performance: Infinite Sauce from Stourport High School
  • Overall Winner: Molly Hipkins from Kidderminster

During the judging interval there was a fine performance from the 2018 Musician of the Year, pianist Danny Bold, who was joined on vocals for some of his tunes by Izzy O鈥橠owd.

主播大秀 Music Introducing in Kidderminster

This month's sessions were recorded at one of the main musical hubs in Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

Kidderminster College, which was also the springboard of the highly successful MAS Records, has been offering students an insight into the music industry in their performance, production and technology courses.

Alumni include Quantic, Funkagenda and The Twang.

Woo Fest, Upton

This summer you'll be able to experience WooFest鈥檚 fifth music festival.

The event, which will be held at the Drum & Monkey on July 6, has something for everyone - from acoustic to rock covers, to blues to modern hits in a beautiful rural location with camping available.

100% of every ticket will go straight to St Richard鈥檚 Hospice, thanks to kind sponsorship and support of talented musicians and local companies.

WooFest, which is organised by Luke Simons and his sister Ria, was first staged in memory of their father John Simons, a local engineer, who was cared for by the hospice before he died in 2013, aged 66.

Musicians' Masterclass

It started as small gathering back in 1970; you could get in for 拢1, you'd get free milk and it brought together 1,500 people. Glastonbury has now expanded to be one of the most famous festivals in the world with 175,000 people there last year across 100 stages.

1971 saw the first incarnation of the Pyramid Stage - a 1/10th replica of the Great Pyramid of Giza. Performers, that year, included David Bowie and Fairport Convention.

Emily Eavis is the godmother of festivals and is responsible for booking acts like Jay-Z, Kanye West, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce and many, many more. Glastonbury and 主播大秀 Introducing have worked together to create one of the most sought-after stages at the festivals for new artists.

But the spotlight, over these last few years, has shifted to look at the lack of women on festival stages. In this episode, Emily Eavis addressed this issue at 主播大秀 Music Introducing Live.
