In session

This week's live session comes from 31-year-old rapper Norbs, who's from Worcester.

He was born in Romania - where he first started writing rap music, aged 14, before moving to Hungary, four years later, penning tracks in Hungarian.

At 23, he stopped making music and, five years ago, moved to England and landed a job with Worcester City Council as a refuse collector.

He's recently decided to make music again, but this time in English as "it's a challenge to do it in a different language", recording at the Old Smithy (the studios made famous by Wizzard's 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday').

"Solid beats, superb productions and intricate wordplay from one of the newest stars of the scene" - Andrew Marston.

Nozstock

Russell Howard describes it as "a rural slice of English eccentricity" and Phill Jupitus & The Blockheads say "Nozstock is the best festival of its size in the UK鈥.

Rudimental and Soul II Soul have been announced as the headliners of this year's Nozstock in Bromyard, celebrating 21 years of the family-run festival.

The event, which began as a family BBQ, will also see performances from local artists Alex Lleo, Inwards, Arcadia Roots and The Stiff Joints.

主播大秀 Music Introducing in Ledbury

This month's sessions were recorded at Ledbury's Market Theatre which has quite the history...

It's owned by the Ledbury Amateur Dramatic Society and built on the site of the old Market Theatre which used the be the only venue of its kind in Herefordshire for 18 years! That was between 1961 and 1979.

The old theatre almost burnt down in the '80s by an accidental fire behind the building - but the damage was repaired by young offenders.

Then, over 10 years later, when it was being demolished to make way for the theatre we see today, it caught fire AGAIN - which the dramatic society say could have been the poltergeist of the old building refusing to be upstaged and insisting on going out in style!

Nowadays, it's run entirely by volunteers and they host a range of performances from plays to state-of-the-art cinema screenings and music events.

SXSW

Austin, Texas, becomes a music mecca every March - and we, at 主播大秀 Introducing, play our part at the world-famous new music festival by flying the flag for the best of British.

主播大秀 Music returned, this week, to the British Music Embassy to present a four night showcase of six acts we flew out to the States.

Musicians' Masterclass

Every week, we offer top tips and advice for new musicians - while giving an incredible insight into the industry for those who are just music fans.

On the sofa, this week, are the band You Me at Six - who topped the album charts and were then dropped when their record label got bought up.

But just how do you grow your fanbase and keep writing hit singles?

主播大秀 Music Introducing in Droitwich

Our next recording session takes place on the last Sunday in March at the Norbury Theatre in Droitwich.

The 176-seat venue, which is run by local volunteers, hosts a variety of events from plays, cinema screenings and live streaming from the West End.

The venue is situated inside Norbury House, an Art Deco building which started life as a luxury hotel - although it's role of putting up guests overnight was reasonably short-lived, having been used as a military hospital in WWII.

The Norbury Theatre came into being in 1962 for the sole purpose for local amateur societies having a venue to perform at.

Nowadays, they share Norbury House with 96 flats. The theatre takes up the largest area of the building, including dressing rooms on the first floor, extensive properties storage in the cellars and scenery in the old kitchens! Not forgetting, of course, the auditorium, foyer and stage!

The event takes place between 2pm and 6pm and admission is free.听
