How horses are paying their way

The equine industry in Northern Ireland is worth more than 200 million pounds a year to the economy. It's the first time a figure has been put on the money spent on horses and equine pursuits. And now the Equine Council are calling for a policy to be put in place to help grow the industry - similar to what we have across all other agri sectors.
Elaine Mitchell met Geoff Cannon - at his farm near Donaghadee - where he trains racehorses. He's the chairman of The Equine Council - and he says that the industry here could really grow - if it gets the right support.
