In session

Stourport's Chloe Mogg describes herself as a "young singer/songwriter with parrot hair bringing life and colour to her performances".

Known for her quirkiness and smile, she haunts the audience with her ability to tell a story with only her voice, acoustic guitar, bass guitar and 'strange' effects.

Her influences include Jeff Buckley, Dave Grohl, Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, Jon Gomm, Kurt Cobain, Herbie Hancock, Norah Jones, Jeff Beck and Jim Morrison.

鈥淥ne of the hardest working musicians in the Midlands who鈥檚 gigging almost every night of the week 鈥 fair play!鈥 - Andrew Marston.

Upton Sunshine Highlights

The Upton Festival celebrated its 10th birthday in style, with a huge birthday bash featuring Scouting for Girls, Busted, Peter Andre and 10CC.

There were also performances from The Osmonds, S Club 7, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce.

Because we chatted to so many performers - getting their top tips for new musicians - we've got a whole month of coverage from the event!

Upton Sunshine Highlights: Dave Pearce

We get top tips for new musicians from the dance music legend that is Dave Pearce.

Best known for presenting Dance Anthems on 主播大秀 Radio 1 for 10 years, Dave鈥檚 also held residencies all over the world and was the person behind NuLife records - signing tracks like Ian Van Dahl鈥檚 鈥楥astles In The Sky鈥 and Rue Da Silva鈥檚 鈥楾ouch Me鈥.

But it all began, for Dave, playing hip hop records - performing on radio stations on both sides of the Atlantic before setting up Britain's first hip hop magazine.

This led to him gaining his own 主播大秀 show, interviewing key music makers, eventually landing him a job as an A&R director.

He became the first mainstream presenter on 主播大秀 Radio 1 to hold a weekly residency in Ibiza at Eden nightclub, which he hosted for 10 years, working with various brands including Euphoria, Slinky and Gatecrasher.听Dave also toured extensively in Europe with residencies in Ibiza, Mallorca, Tenerife, Corfu and Zante.听In Summer 2013, Pearce took residency at BCM in Mallorca.

This week, we hear what makes a 鈥榗lub banger鈥 and how to gain the attention of a record label.

Upton Sunshine Highlights: Busted

Busted have been a mainstay in British pop music since 2000 with four #1 singles, two Brits and four studio albums.

They were the soundtrack to every noughties disco, and the life and soul of teenage angst in pop music.

The trio went their separate ways in 2005, eventually reforming for the McBusted tour.

Since then, they've decided to dust off the old guitars and head out to play arenas.

In this week's show, the band give some golden advice for new musicians.

Upton Sunshine Highlights: Terry Hall

Once a regular at the Malvern Winter Gardens, Terry Hall from The Specials is a bonafide musical legend, not just in these parts but across the world.

After being discovered by the legendary John Peel, The Specials went on to have a range of hits including 'A Message To You, Rudy', 'Rat Race' and their number on hit 'Ghost Town'.

Terry left school just before his 15th birthday and took on a variety of jobs, including bricklaying, before forming the band - and who knew what a massive act they would become, especially culturally in a turbulent time for the country.

Upton Sunshine Highlights: 911

Formed in 1995, 911 are one of those names that instantly make you think of the madness of 90's boyband pop - with 10 million singles and 6 million albums sold around the world it's easy to see why!

They were also huge in South East Asia with a range of number one records.

The ITV2 Reality Series 'The Big Reunion' brought the guys back together after splitting in 2000, and the reaction they received on their return has prompted a new arena tour!

Hear their advice for up-and-coming musicians in this episode.

主播大秀 Music Introducing at Lakefest

Radio 2 Live In Hyde Park: Olly Alexander

Tonight, we鈥檙e bringing you highlights from Radio 2 Live In Hyde Park, which featured Hereford singer Olly Alexander joining Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of the Pet Shop Boys.

Together, they performed the first-to-be-released track ahead of the Pet Shop Boys' forthcoming studio album and big tour next year.

Olly, who co-wrote the track, studied at Hereford College of Arts.

Musicians' Masterclass

Most jobs you can do everyday: work in an office, a factory or a shop.

But, being in the creative industry, it isn't that easy - and you can go through long periods of suffering from writer's block.

So just how do you deal with that, particularly when you're suddenly gaining traction and your financial wellbeing may depend on it?

This week, we hear from chart-topper Tom Grennan, Mercury Music Prize nominee SOAK and - one of the most hyped acts of the moment, Lotto Boyzz.

主播大秀 Music Introducing in Bromyard

Our next recording session takes place at the Conquest Theatre in Bromyard on Sunday, 24 November from 7pm.

If you've only ever driven through the town before, the Conquest is on what we like to call 'Nozstock Street!'.

The theatre has now been hosting events at its Tenbury Road location for a quarter of a century - but they'd been campaigning for a facility like this since the '50s, according to the records book.

Originally, events had been held in an 'old tin hut' which had been built in 1919 by the Royal British Legion.听But eventually they decided an all-singing, all-dancing venue was what the town needed.

We'd love to see you on the 24th - simply turn up, there's no need to book.
