The spirit of Mozart graces Beethoven鈥檚 Third Piano Concerto - but its drama and passion are all Ludwig鈥檚 own. Here the outstanding Isata Kanneh-Mason guides us through its world of light and shade. Before that, journey through overlooked corners of America鈥檚 musical landscape: from the dissonance of Carl Ruggles, via an intense miniature from firebrand Ruth Crawford Seeger, to the wit and energy of Julia Perry, ending with a work written by Alvin Singleton in memory of his sister.
