Joe Biden's plan to tackle climate change has been described as "ambitious". As president he wants the US to reach net zero emissions by 2050. He aims to make US electricity production carbon-free by 2035, invest heavily in electric vehicles and energy efficient buildings and rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement.

We spoke to five indigenous leaders about the importance of Biden's fight; Climate activist Nemonte Nequimo of the Waorani Nation, John Rice Zahgausgai Mukwa of the Wasauksing First Nation, Stephen Oruma Ole Nkaru of the Maasai Matapoto Clan, Ven. Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche a Tibetan monk, and Lina Cappa of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.
