Households across the UK are coming under increasing pressure because of rising living costs. In Middlesbrough, the Genesis Project is a rare oasis of hope.
From the outside, it鈥檚 a fairly typical church hall. But step inside and this is something special. The Genesis Project in Middlesbrough is a community offering a lifeline to increasing numbers of people who are struggling in one of the most deprived parts of England. It鈥檚 busy 鈥� because times are tough. 鈥楬eat or eat鈥� is how those who come here describe their daily life. They鈥檙e queuing for food they can鈥檛 afford in the shops. But for three pounds they can come to this church hall and fill a carrier bag with fruit and veg, tins or even prepared meals and feed their families for a week. For 5 Minutes On, Fiona Trott, North of England Correspondent for 主播大秀 News 鈥� has been to meet the Reverend Kath Dean who set the project up.
