Czech President: 鈥淔atigue of war鈥�
Petr Pavel says Russia 鈥渨ouldn鈥檛 stop with Ukraine鈥� if it prevails in the war.
The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, has told the 主播大秀 鈥渢he support of Ukraine will naturally fade out鈥� as the war continues and this year may be decisive for the either side in the conflict.
The former Nato army general, now newly-elected Czech president, told HARDtalk鈥檚 Stephen Sackur 鈥渇atigue of war鈥� could lead to a drop in the support for Ukraine among Western and European allies. This year, he said, could be decisive as 鈥渂oth Russia and Ukraine would most probably try to make a really big offensive鈥�.
President Pavel said if support for Ukraine declined and Russia prevailed in the conflict, Moscow 鈥渨ould take it as a confirmation of the right approach to their foreign and security policies鈥�. 鈥淩ussia,鈥� he warned, 鈥渨ouldn't stop with Ukraine鈥�.
