Leading behaviour expert Marie Gentles works with year seven secondary students Scott, who has anxiety about school, and Oliver, who is autistic and needs help adjusting to school life.

Marie Gentles OBE is a behaviour expert who believes a compassionate approach is the best way to help young people change their behaviours.

At Beacon Hill Academy in Dudley, West Midlands, Marie continues to work with year ten student Jayliyah, a student at risk of permanent exclusion. Jayliyah had been making good progress, but she has recently been suspended again.

Scott in year seven has anxiety about school and hasn鈥檛 attended a mainstream lesson since he started Beacon Hill. He鈥檚 on reduced hours and works in a small quiet room away from the rest of the school. With Marie鈥檚 help, will Scott find the confidence to get back into class?

Marie also works with Oliver in year seven. He has an autism diagnosis and is struggling to navigate life at secondary school.
