Matt Dawson says England fly-half George Ford "needs to be running the team" after his performance against Argentina in the Rugby World Cup.

Ford kicked all 27 points to steer England to a victory in their opening game of the tournament, after being reduced to 14 men within the first three minutes.

Dawson added: "They (England) are never ever going to admit that George Ford gets ever so slightly shackled by playing with Owen Farrell."
