"Unity and Justice and Diversity" is a documentary on German TV - and it's already caused an absolute furore in the country. Ahead of Euro2024 in Germany - the country's state broadcaster ARD commissioned an opinion poll for the programme, asking people whether they wanted to see more white players selected for the national team. 21 per cent of the respondents said yes. Which was dismaying in itself. But the row has been over the fact that the survey was commissioned at all. The German team coach and senior players have said it was an act of madness by the broadcaster. The journalist who made the film is Philipp Awounou. What does he make of the backlash?
