Does Alfred, Lord Tennyson haunt a Skegness hotel?

The poet is said to haunt the resort's Vine Hotel.

A Skegness hotel is said to be the location of spooky goings-on, with some claiming it to be the ghost of celebrated Lincolnshire poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
He's known to have often stayed at the Vine Hotel in Skegness, where he wrote several poems, and it's thought the hotel's ornamental garden also provided the inspiration for one of his most famous works, 'Maud'.
Could it be that reports by staff and visitors of paranormal activity are the spirits of Lord Tennyson and his female companion?
