Posterngate: Lincoln's underground Roman remains
Lincoln is well known for its Roman history, but every day thousands of people walk past one part without even realising it's there.
Formerly a gateway to Lincoln's river Witham, Posterngate at the southernmost end of the Roman city is now hidden behind a nondescript door in an unassuming cellar.
