Cafes, pubs and restaurants must close except for take-away food, in order to tackle coronavirus, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said. Nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres have also been told to close. Meanwhile, the government said it will pay 80% of wages for employees who are not able to work, up to 拢2,500 a month. In South America, Argentina has become the first country there to announce a national lockdown. New York is facing similar measures, and in California, the governor has issued a state-wide order directing people to stay at home to stop the spread of the virus. We talk to Kai Rysdall from our sister programme Marketplace. In Denmark, Rasmus Vejb忙k-Zerr, who part owns the Meny supermarket in Hellerup is using a novel method to stop customers stockpiling hand sanitizer. Ironically, it might seem, today is World Happiness Day, the brain child the United Nations New World Order project. It's aim to advance happiness as a fundamental human right for all human beings; we speak to Professor Jan-Emmanuel De Neve, director of the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford. And whilst business is tough for many, we look at some of the firms bucking the global trend.
