George Floyd: what comes next?

Business and community leaders discuss how to bring about a more equitable society

The funeral for George Floyd, whose death in police custody caused global outrage, has heard impassioned pleas for racial justice. On today鈥檚 show we will be hearing some of those people thinking about how to bring change. Minnesota State Representative Ruth Richardson explains the fears she has for her 17-year old boy Shawn, and how the colour of his skin puts him in danger. Gregory Davis of Vanguard Asset Management discusses what the corporate world can do to bring about a more equitable society. Mae Jemison, the first woman of colour in space, talks about the importance of role models. And Scott Thomson is the former police chief of Camden, New Jersey, a city which got rid of the city's police force altogether and created a brand new one.
