France reacts to Le Pen and Macron Upcoming Presidential Face-off

Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron will face-off in two weeks time.

First - we look at how Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron will face-off in two weeks time. We spoke to Laurent Allias who runs Josiane, an advertising agency based in Paris. He told us about how he thought the result of the first round would affect him. Alexandre Mayol, Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Lorraine told us how the two candidates' policies differed.

Next - we spoke to Professor Robin Carhart-Harris. He's a psychologist, neuroscientist and former Head of the Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London. He told us what led him to researching the medical effects of magic mushrooms and how they can open up depressed people's brains to stop them getting stuck in a negative pattern of thinking.

More falls on the equity markets in the US. The Nasdaq fell over 2%. The reason lies in the US treasury market, or the bond market. We asked Peter Jankowskis of Arbor Financial to explain how it influenced the stock markets.

Then we hear from Guy Hedgecoe with a report from the Spanish Capital. He spoke to people feeling the pinch of rising prices - largely linked to higher energy costs, and supply chain problems.

Lastly, Pilita Clark talked us through the conundrum of work place attire in a post pandemic world.
