KiboCUBE Kick-Starts Satellites

KiboCUBE enables countries to deploy their own satellites; Riverwatch using tech to monitor rivers; eLearning Africa; an AI opera.

KiboCUBE is an initiative that offers educational and research institutions from developing countries the opportunity to deploy cube satellites (CubeSats) from the Kibo module of the International Space Station (ISS). Kate Arkless Gray reports on Guatamala's first satellite.

eLearning is on the rise in Africa but there鈥檚 a dearth of local content. Click talks to Professor Bitange Ndemo from the University of Nairobi who believes Africa is in the midst of a technological colonisation, preyed on by big tech giants.

Computer scientist Luc Steels has composed an opera based on the legend of Faust, with a twenty-first-century twist.
