Italy's economy is stuck in a rut, but could its political system be headed for big change? Manuela Saragosa reports from Rome on the country's frustrations and hopes.

She meets Lorenzo Fioramonti, economic spokesman for the increasingly popular anti-establishment Five Star Movement political party, who just returned from a charm offensive to London financiers with a surprisingly pro-European message. Meanwhile, Roberto d'Alimonte, professor of political economy at Rome's Luiss University, explains why Silvio Berlusconi still remains an important player in the upcoming elections.
