Claudia Hammond is joined by experts to answer questions about the coronavirus Covid-19.

President Biden says the U.S. will be the 鈥渁rsenal of vaccines鈥 for the world, but the reality is that millions of people in poorer countries remain dangerously exposed to the virus. Apart from the ethical and moral case for vaccines for all, there鈥檚 a strong scientific case for global equity in vaccine distribution. But will this case be heard as richer countries push for booster doses for their own populations?

Claudia Hammond is joined by world leading immunologists Professors Akiko Iwasaki and Peter Openshaw to explore the latest evidence about waning immunity, by Dr Yodi Alakija from the African Union鈥檚 Vaccine Delivery Alliance and Dr Maria Van Kerkhove, the World Health Organisation鈥檚 Technical Lead for Covid, to discuss the broken promises in global vaccine distribution and listeners from around the world join in with a wealth of questions to this expert panel about variants, vaccines and pregnancy and the moral imperative to share vaccines.
