 On June 10th a new club called Chocolate Milk was launched, with the aim of bringing the hottest 'global grooves' to London. Generally also has belly dancers sometimes trapeze artist occasionally other acts too. Relaxed, safe atmosphere. Actual chapel (which is used for concerts) is beautiful. I've seen a range of gigs here from American jazz eccentrics Gutbucket to soul all stars Akimbo (I even DJed solid funk here once myself, to a great crowd!). Caravansary Ensemble meets to practice Sundays to provide an introduction to the percussion techniques and rhythmical systems of Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern music.
These are informal and friendly sessions and we hope that in addition to learning about percussion attendees will gain a more general insight into the music and culture that interests us.
