Gillian Anderson in 'The Mighty Celt'
'X Files' star Gillian Anderson, the propaganda films of Charlie Chaplin and a brand new competition.
Gillian Anderson

Chris Tookey talks to actress Gillian Anderson (best known as Agent Scully of 'The X Files') about her new film 'The Mighty Celt'. Anderson plays the Northern Irish mother of a teenager with a passion for training greyhounds.

'The Mighty Celt', certificate 12A, is in selected cinemas now.
Charlie Chaplin

Cultural historian Matthew Sweet discusses a collection of early Charlie Chaplin movies, including such films about World War I as 'Shoulder Arms', set in the trenches and 'The Bond', a propaganda film starring Charlie and his less well-known brother Sydney as the Kaiser.

'The Chaplin Revue', certificate U, is available on DVD now. It includes the films 'A Dog's Life', 'Shoulder Arms', 'The Pilgrim', 'Sunnyside', 'A Day's Pleasure', 'The Idle Class' and 'Pay Day'.

Screenwriter Delia Ephron ('Bewitched') discusses her new movie 'The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants'. It is a coming-of-age film about four friends, all teenage girls of very dissimilar shapes, who purchase a pair of jeans that miraculously fits them all.

'The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants', certificate PG, is in cinemas now.
The 40 Year-Old Virgin

Chris Tookey talks to actor-writer Steve Carell, who plays the nerdy hero of the new comedy 'The 40 Year-Old Virgin'. Carell is currently playing the David Brent role in the American TV version of 'The Office'.

'The 40 Year-Old Virgin', certificate 15, is released in cinemas on 2 September 2005.
