Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn revisited. Mia Farrow on playing the nanny in The Omen. Early short films by George Lucas and Tim Burton.
On The Film Programme this week:

Francine Stock talks to Mia Farrow, who plays the nanny from hell in John Moore's remake of the 1976 horror classic The Omen. Critic Mark Eccleston compares the two versions and discusses the current remake phenomenon.

Secuestro Express is about a kidnap that's broken box office records in Venezuela and enraged President Hugo Chavez because of its drugs and violence. Francine discusses the film with director Jonathan Jakubowicz, himself a kidnap victim.

Briony Hanson assesses early short films from George Lucas, Tim Burton and Gus van Sant, collected together on a new DVD of American Shorts.

Plus Donald Spoto discusses his biography of Audrey Hepburn, her traumatic years under Nazi occupation in Holland, her time as a vaudeville dancer in the West End (alongside Bob Monkhouse), and her response to being dubbed by Marni Nixon in My Fair Lady.
