Researchers say the youngest children should be given the best teachers

Where do you put your best teachers in order to give primary school children the best education? A study of more than seventy thousand children in England found that putting them in reception classes, with the youngest pupils, will have the biggest impact. But whilst catching them at a early age might sound like good advice, it鈥檚 thought schools often put their best teachers in the later years, to try to boost test results for the all-important league tables.

Report author, Peter Tymms from Durham University听and Sylvia Morris, headteacher at Cathedral School in Southwark, London, join Jenni to discuss the findings.
