Tudor Re-enactments Friday 19 September 2003
No running water, soap made of oatmeal, and only one dress to last you three weeks. It's maybe not everyone's idea of a relaxing holiday, but to the re-enactors of Kentwell Hall in Suffolk, living Tudor life as authentically as possible is the highlight of the year.

Participants abandon their 21st century dress, attitudes and language to recreate life as it used to be, in a series of events at the restored Elizabethan manor house. The house is celebrating 25 years of historical re-enactments this year.
Lizz Pearson went to meet the people who helped bring the year 1549 to life at Kentwell Hall.
