Whilst playing outside this morning under the pretense of helping dad to mix cement, Amber had a bit of a tumble over an empty pallet & managed to poke herself in the eye with a piece of stick, so here we are yet again waiting to hear when the medivac copter can come in & take us out to lerwick so she can have her eye examined as she has a bit of a nasty cut.

Joy of Joy the weather seems to have the perception to know that something was going to happen and its not looking like we'll get back home till monday at the earliest, wed more possible, so we're frantically searching for a B&B who can be really flexible over our time of stay & trying to think of things to do with a 6yr old in Lerwick.

At least it means we get a trip to the co-op for some salad selections that dont cost the earth & more !

Hope everything will work out just fine, the copter will whisk you back home by return post with 1 OK child and some nice spring sprouts (if they do that).

Hope the kid is okay. Most UK kids survive to be 21: yours will too. Visit the library. Or take the bus and check out the Red Cross outlet in Stromness, or the wonderful bookstore. Tell Tam I sent you: not that it will get you any discount, but he might just give you a befuddled smile.

Last time I looked, Lerwick was in the Peoples' Republic of Shetland, not the Breakaway State of Stromness in Orkney (a wholly-owned subsidiary of UK plc.)

Thanks, FC, for setting me straight. I don't know where my head was: probably on the logistics of the move to Indiana. Off again to Hoosierland coming weekend with wife to drop another car: will fly back ten days later. I would not be able to find my way to southern Indiana without spousal guidance: and I refuse to read maps.
