The Sheffield half-marathon takes place on Sunday 27th April 2008听and 主播大秀 Radio Sheffield are the media sponsors.

The run starts at Don Valley Stadium at 9.30am and is 13 miles in total.

If you have missed the 2008 Sheffield Half Marathon, never fear! A fun run is taking place on the day at 9.45am. You can either enter on the day or book your place in advance.

Sheffield's Fun Run follows a 3k route along pathways in and around the Don Valley Stadium and the Sheffield Arena. All ages can take part. The entry cost is 拢5.

Need convincing?

"The Sheffield half-marathon does you a world of good", said Richard Caborn, Sheffield MP and cabinet Sports Minister.

"If you can get out there now and get training for 20th May, you'll be raising money for charity and getting your self fit - it's a win-win situation."

主播大秀 Radio Sheffield's Gareth Evans is going to be down there "It's going to be more than fabulous, I've never ran a marathon and not likely to. Watching the runners leave and then return back in to Don Valley stadium is going to be really special and it might even inspire me to sign up in 2009.

"For now I think I'm going to stick to the Fun Run and of course waving in the sweaty and knackered runners!"
