I can remember that everyone was very excited that ITFC had got to the FA cup final.听

Leading up to the match there was a lot of publicity and articles in the local newspapers, hence my reason for making a scrapbook.听Everyone was euphoric when we eventually won.听

The next day on the Sunday, a civic reception and welcome was held in Ipswich on the Cornhill in front of the town hall. I was amongst the supporters on that day to welcome our winning team back to Ipswich.听

The team travelled around the streets of Ipswich in an open top bus, and there were huge cheers when the bus arrived on the Cornhill.听

The proper photos in my album were taken by my then biology teacher at school who allowed us to purchase them.听Who would have thought that 30 years on my scrapbook would still be of interest to people? The current ITFC Chairman David Sheepshanks has signed the front of it.
