"It was difficult to keep friendships going."

Transcript

"Since I started primary school I have wanted to study I.T. and this is where it all went wrong.

When I was 12 I moved to Basingstoke and started my first secondary school. I loved it and settled in very well. Then my parents got divorced and I had to leave my school to move to Milford Haven.

I joined a second school. I was only there for one year because my Mum met a new partner, so we moved to St. Clears. I started my next school and by now I was pretty fed up as my life and my schoolwork was suffering. It was difficult to keep friendships going.

I then moved to my final school in Carmarthen. By the time it came to sit my GCSEs I hadn't learned enough and the results were rubbish. My highest mark was a 'D'. So me and my mum went to the college and had a look at what was on offer. I thought that I couldn't do I.T. because of my grades and so I went to Pibwrlwyd for a year and I passed my course. This made me feel good about myself. After that I decided to do what I've always wanted to do: I.T.

I have now enrolled in the Graig on an I.T. course. It's never too late to pass exams and I am determined to pass the course and then go on to do a year advanced.

Thanks for watching my digital story."
